Requesting a Custom-Designed Theme
from Forum Themes by Angela

What is a custom theme?
Generally, it's an effort on my behalf to collaborate with a forum who desires specific elements to their forum theme. Not specific as in "a blue theme," but "This graphic here, this text this color here, and this part looks like this." Many forums have graphics they want used with their custom theme, and some prefer that I design them for their theme. If you have graphics you want used, email them to angehowe(at)delphiforums(dot)com, or be specific when you ask me to create graphics for you. Be sure that if you do include graphics for use in your theme that they are not copyrighted to someone else first. It's on you to check that out. If you don't know what you want your theme to look like, you aren't ready to get a custom theme from me.

What must be included when requesting a custom theme?
Please list the webtag where the forum will use the theme, the username of the forum owner if it's not you, the approximate age of the forum, a font name or family that you prefer, whether having a white message background is important or not, your preferred color palette, and any details about the graphics you want used.

A submitted request does not guarantee a custom theme. I will select your request based solely upon your input. This is why it's best to include a good deal of input with your request. Simply requesting a blue theme isn't going to get your request completed soonest.  Having sample images is ideal, and will increase the chances of your theme being completed quickly.  If the request is too general or if I have to ferret out images for your theme from the web, I will probably refer you to browse similar themes already completed.

Once a request is received and progress has begun, I will contact you and direct you to a forum where you can view the theme as it is created. There you will have the opportunity to give feedback, preview graphics in position, and suggest changes.

Your submitted request indicates your acceptance of the following terms:

  1. Premium Themes For Plus Members Only
Only a forum WIZARD (owner) may request a custom theme, and that forum wizard must have DelphiPlus in order to be considered.  Theme codes will be provided in a PlusZone forum and only the Wizard will be permitted to pick them up.  In order to qualify for a custom theme, a forum MUST have been open and active for a minimum of six months.

  2. Custom Themes Will Be Displayed for Six Months
A submitted request for a custom theme assumes your agreement that this theme will be worn in the forum you designate in the request form for a minimum period of six months.  Wearing your custom theme for longer than the minimum period is a high compliment to an artist!  When I accept your request, I will allow you an appropriate period of time for suggesting changes to your custom theme. You are welcome to invite forum members and forum staff into the test forum for review and feedback as well. I encourage this! Please limit suggestions for changes to the theme in the forum where your requested theme is being displayed, and not in email or in my Themes forum.

  3. Installed By You
Once your request has been completed and suggested changes have been posted, the forum wizard must pick up the graphics, stylesheet codes, and Colors & Fonts details and install the theme in the designated forum.  Step-by-step instructions will be included with your custom theme.  Typically, an installation will take less than 30 minutes.

  4. My Themes Are Copyrighted
A custom-designed theme is a copyrighted work that belongs to the artist.  Only graphics that are copyright-free will be used in my custom themes.  Any additional graphics included in a custom theme are copyrighted by me and may not be used elsewhere without my permission.  The stylesheet that is created for a custom-designed theme is also copyrighted and may not be used in another forum without permission, or used as a template for creating another theme.  If you desire a template, please see PremiumForum Styles Center where you can get a template and one-on-one help with creating your own theme.  Why is copyrighting such a big deal to me? See http://www.whatiscopyright.org

When you're ready, send me your Custom Theme Request.
